I'm new to rowing. How do I start?
Please fill in the ‘contact us’ form and one of the team will be in touch. You are also welcome to come down to the club on any Wednesday evening 7-8pm or Sunday morning 10.30am-12noon to introduce yourself and find out more about us.
Can anyone row?
Everyone is welcome. There is no upper age limit.
I have rowed before for another club. How do I become a member of Burton Leander?
Please complete the ‘contact us’ form and our captain will contact you to arrange a visit to the club.
My child wants to join the club. Are they old enough to join?
We take junior members from the age of 11 years.
I row at University. Can I row with Burton Leander in the holidays?
Yes. We have a holidays-only student rate membership.
How much does it cost to be a member?
Full membership for seniors £24 per month
Junior membership £16 per month
Associate membership (gym facilities only) £12 per month
Student membership (full time) £16 per month
Student membership (holidays only) £10 per month
What facilities are available?
- large club room use for circuit training
- Indoor training room with 10 indoor rowing machines and 4 spin bikes
- Weights room recently refurbished

What type of boats do you have?
We have a varied fleet of boats comprising of Eights, Fours, Quads, Doubles, Pairs and Singles.
We have boats suitable for beginners and elite rowers.
